Across the United States more than 80% of students enrolled in middle and high school participate in extracurricular activities. At Jackson Preparatory & Early College (JPEC), the 6th-13th grade tuition-free public school academy located on the campus of Jackson
College offers a wide variety of exciting activities, including sports, clubs, art, music, and robotics. We are among the county's best competitive middle and high school robotics teams. Our high school team has qualified for the world championship five times in the last six years!
Broaden Your Horizons
Studies show that students who participate in extracurriculars broaden their horizons and cultivate important skills like teamwork, responsibility, and resilience. At JPEC extracurriculars provide opportunities for personal growth and social connection.

Because JPEC is located on the Jackson College campus, athletes, artists, and performers use all the same world-class facilities as the college students. Students in their 13th year can even play on the Jackson College sports teams.
Student-Directed Activities
JPEC Falcons are creating their own opportunities. Voice an interest and start something here. Student-directed clubs and organizations include:
- Student government
- Kindness Committee
- Speech and Debate Club
- Tennis Club
- Bowling Club
And don’t forget all the rites of middle and high school like prom, Homecoming, spirit days, and pep assemblies. We’ve got them all!
