Thirteen may seem like a spooky number, but at Jackson Preparatory & Early College (JPEC) we’ve added a 13th year to our tuition-free public school academy to give students more time for personalized learning, earning college credits and preparing for a successful future.
Add a Year, Add an Opportunity
All Early Colleges offer a 5th year of high school, but many cap the number of credits you can earn. JPEC students use the additional year to complete an associate’s degree through dual enrollment at Jackson College or attend upper-level classes at Albion College and gain at least 60 college credits.
Students who fulfill their high school requirements participate in commencement in 12th grade. During their 13th year they attend college full-time on our dime! As a JPEC student you can even take 300- and 400-level classes and work towards a bachelor’s degree tuition-free.
Plus, we partner with the Jackson Area Career Center to offer certifications in professions like automotive technology, construction, culinary arts, esthetics, and health care.
