Hands-on and site-base learning
JPEC values hands-on and site-based learning. We expect our falcons to participate in 3 forms of fieldwork over their time with us. Our College Prep students are expected to participate in career exploration, investigating careers of interest.
Transitioning from College Prep to Early College
Students transitioning from College Prep to Early College are focusing on job shadowing, spending more time on-site learning about careers aligned to their program pathway and becoming more career focused. During job shadowing students should be spending time on-site interviewing individuals in that career field and determining necessary skills to be successful.
Upper Early College
Our upper Early College students participate in internships or extended site-based learning opportunities. Through all three of these experiences students will log and document these hours towards their 100 hour requirement for graduation. Please contact us with any questions.
