At JPEC We Finish the Year Strong
Another year is in the books at Jackson Preparatory & Early College (JPEC)! We’re the only public school academy with a 5-year high school and middle school located on a college campus. This year, we earned degrees and certifications, built bridges, explored different countries, and had a lot of fun!
1700+ College Credits Earned!
Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
29 graduates/58 associates degrees
$ZERO Spent for College Tuition & Fees
That adds up to more than 1700 college credits for the class and 1.8 degrees per Falcon at no financial cost for their families.
“The college counselor does a really good job with our students first advising them to work on something that gets them a job first – an industry certification. Then let’s work towards your associate’s so you can continue on.” --Jonathon Marowelli, President
Many of our graduates are pursuing careers in tech, earning degrees in
IT
Cloud networking
Software
Digital Art
Others are preparing to enter the medical field with allied health degrees.
Throughout their high school career here, students meet regularly with our high school counselor and our college counselor who advise them about how to work towards stackable credentials that will set them on a fulfilling career path.
Building Bridges to the Future
This year JPEC Falcons built a lot of bridges including:
To other cultures through the 6th grade annual country fair.
For the unhoused by distributing produce cultivated in our community garden.
Towards a future of possibilities with visits to the campuses of Albion College and the University of Michigan.
The real bridge thing with the Michigan Bridge Challenge, sponsored by the Department of Transportation.
We had fun at Cedar Point and Michigan Adventure this spring. Our 8th and 9th graders just returned from the bi-annual social studies trip to Washington, DC!
There’s More to Come
August 20th is the first day of school for the new year. We’re adding a lot of opportunities in middle and high school including more math for 6th-8th grade, doubling the class time devoted to math with an emphasis on practical skills.
We’re offering 8th graders a math lab where they’ll apply Algebra 1 skills to real world problems. And we’re kicking off a Math Counts competition.
JPEC 9th and 10th graders are piloting a program with Jackson College in AMR robotics. They’ll earn college credit in this innovative course.
Middle and high school Falcons will compete in JPEC’s own version of the Amazing Race in PE this fall!
There’s still time to enroll for the new school year, but don’t delay. To join us on the first day of school complete this form and we’ll get back in touch right away with next steps.
