Here we go again. Another school year is starting this month and we’re here for it! At Jackson Preparatory & Early College (JPEC), the tuition-free middle and high public school academy offering dual enrollment and 60+ college credits before graduation we can’t wait to welcome you. Here are just 5 ways JPEC is helping every Falcon kick off a great school year.
#1 - We Get to Know You Before You Enroll Here
As one step in our simple enrollment process, we ask you to tell us your story. We want to know what makes you tick and how we can design a learning experience that will set you on the path for a fulfilling future.

What subjects are you already competent in because it’s not what you know. It’s what you know how to do.

#2 - We Design Your Education for Who You Are
We provide individualized attention to every Falcon at JPEC so you can figure out what you want to do – college, career, or both! Accelerate and advance into college courses or take extra time to achieve at grade level. We even add a 13th year so you can complete an associate’s degree through dual enrollment at Jackson College or take junior and senior level college classes at our partner, Albion College – all without paying a dime!
You can also earn a vocational certification from the Jackson Area Career Center in high-demand professions like:
automotive technology
construction
culinary arts
esthetics
health care
#3 - We Start the Day at 9:00 am
We know teens need more sleep. That’s why we start our day 1.5 hours later than Jackson’s traditional public schools. Better grades, improved attendance, and less tardiness are just a few of the benefits you’ll notice.
#4 – You’ll Build Community through Student-led Clubs and Activities
JPEC Falcons are creating their own opportunities. Voice an interest and start something here. Student-directed clubs and organizations include:
Student government
Kindness Committee
Speech and Debate Club
Tennis Club
Bowling Club
And don’t forget all the rites of middle and high school like prom, Homecoming, spirit days, and pep assemblies. We’ve got them all!

#5 - Our Awesome Staff is Here for You!
JPEC is a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone from the office staff to the President knows and cares about you. This is a safe place to overcome challenges, try something new, and figure out what you want to do. We’ll even help you decide what you don’t want to do because sometimes that’s more important.
If you haven’t enrolled yet, please come to our Application Night on Wednesday, August 13 from 4-6 p.m. Our orientation for the 2025-2026 school year is Monday, August 18th. The first day of class is Wednesday, August 20. Seats are still available in grades 6-12. Enroll now and kick off a great school year!
