A Partnership that Accelerates the Possibility!
Jackson Preparatory & Early College (JPEC) and Albion College partner to give motivated students an exceptional opportunity to continue their college journey while still in high school. Through this partnership, qualifying JPEC students may take upper-level Albion College courses, earn additional credit toward a bachelor’s degree, and explore a personalized liberal arts education—all at no cost to the student.

Upper-Level College Coursework
Students who accelerate through JPEC’s Early College program may take Albion College courses at the 300- and 400-level while completing high school.
Credits earned through approved Albion coursework can move students closer to completing a bachelor’s degree.
JPEC covers the cost of approved Albion College coursework, giving students access to advanced academic opportunities without additional tuition or fees.
Academic Pathways with Purpose
Albion offers personalized learning opportunities across the sciences, business, humanities, and other areas of study.
Students may explore advanced coursework that connects to their individual academic interests and future career goals.
Recent JPEC students have taken Albion courses in areas such as analytical physics, history, civics, upper-level chemistry, Spanish, and creative writing.
Accelerated Opportunities for JPEC Falcons
JPEC’s competency-based learning model allows students to progress when they demonstrate mastery, creating opportunities to begin advanced college coursework sooner.
Students may complete an associate degree through Jackson College and continue earning bachelor’s-level credit through Albion College before high school graduation.
Albion College is located approximately 30 minutes from Jackson, providing a nearby option for students to experience a residential liberal arts college environment.
