Enroll at JPEC to Prepare for the Career of Your Dreams
What if your student could graduate high school with a degree and a career path already mapped out? At Jackson Preparatory & Early College (JPEC), you don’t have to choose between college and a career: you can pursue both, completely tuition-free. Read on to learn about Michigan’s only whole school Early College program, one that starts students on the path to a real career before they ever leave high school.

Real Career Certifications
Starting in 11th grade, students can pursue vocational certification through the Jackson Area Career Center (JACC), which is conveniently located nearby making certification an accessible part of the JPEC experience. JACC programs run in focused, hands-on tracks that prepare students for real careers in high-demand fields. This pathway is tuition-free, credit-bearing, and designed to give students a meaningful head start on whatever comes next.
Early College at Jackson College
Beginning in 9th grade, through the JPEC Early College program, students take real college courses at Jackson College, on the same campus where they attend school every day. By graduation, students can earn up to 60 college credits or a full associate's degree, saving families an average of $73,000 in future college costs. Students earn transferable credits that can count toward a bachelor's degree at universities across Michigan.
